ECUA will be replacing the blue garbage cans currently being used in the north end of Escambia County beginning on Tuesday, February 8. The blue cans were a part of the former Allied Waste service area and are ready to be replaced. ECUA crews will change out the blue garbage cans for newer ECUA cans.

The operation entails switching out 15,000-plus cans and is expected to take approximately three to four weeks to complete. Customers are asked to leave their cans out at the curb after the week’s pick-up as crews will be out every day working to expedite the replacement process. Recycling cans, which already bear the ECUA logo are not included in this effort.
