Yard Waste Collection Update

ECUA Yard Waste Collection Update

ECUA Sanitation crews are currently managing a seasonal increase in yard waste volumes across Escambia County. This time of year typically brings higher amounts of yard debris as residents complete landscaping, trimming, and seasonal yard cleanup.

Similar to what other sanitation providers in our region, including the City of Pensacola, experience during this time of year, these higher volumes can result in yard waste collection occurring later than the normal schedule in some neighborhoods.

Because of the increased volume, collection trucks are filling more quickly, requiring additional trips to the compost facility during the day. These extra disposal trips reduce the time available to complete routes before the end of the workday.

Our sanitation team is actively working through the increased material as safely and efficiently as possible. Additional service days, including Saturdays, will be used as needed to help return routes to their normal schedule.

Service continues throughout the county, and all yard waste placed curbside will be collected as crews work through the seasonal increase in volume.

If your yard waste has not been collected by Sunday, please let us know through the MyECUA app, which is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app provides a quick and convenient way to communicate directly with ECUA and helps our team respond faster to service requests.

ECUA appreciates the community’s patience and support while our crews continue working to keep our neighborhoods clean.
