A Sanitary Sewer Overflow -SSO- occurred on July 28, 2024, in the vicinity of 2305 Inverness Dr. (Manhole #19018551) due to a blockage in the main caused by debris in the manhole. The overflow was estimated at 3,750 gallons. The overflow was contained onsite and bacteriological sampling was not required.

ECUA crews cleared the blockage and cleaned the overflow area with a biocide agent that abated any contamination concerns, per State protocol. In accordance with standard operating procedure, the ECUA notified the State Warning Point, the Escambia County Health Department, and the FDEP.
