A Sanitary Sewer Overflow -SSO- occurred on July 7 at 937 Lucerne Avenue (manhole #3838) due to a grease blockage in the sewer main. The overflow was estimated at 30 gallons and was contained onsite. Bacteriological sampling was not required.

ECUA crews cleared the blockage in the main and cleaned the overflow area with a biocide agent that abated any contamination concerns, per State protocol. In accordance with standard operating procedure, the ECUA notified the Escambia County Health Department and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
