EMERALD COAST UTILITIES AUTHORITY SANITATION SERVICES IN SANTA ROSA COUNTY END THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2020
PENSACOLA, FL (December 29, 2020)- Thursday, December 31, 2020, is the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority’s (ECUA) last day of sanitation collection service in Santa Rosa County (SRC). All customers are requested to place their ECUA garbage and recycling containers at the curb to expedite the removal and collection process. ECUA has over 45,000 carts in SRC, so the collection process is estimated to take multiple weeks to finalize. If a customer’s cart has not been removed by January 29, 2021, they’re asked to contact ECUA Customer Service at 850. 476.0480.
Originally founded as the Escambia County Utilities Authority in 1981, the Authority’s name was officially changed to the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) on June 29, 2004. The ECUA is a local governmental body, existing under the laws of the State of Florida to provide sanitation and recycling collection, potable water distribution and wastewater services.
